Henry Villar

Senior Performance Consultant @ VMware

Henry Villar is a Senior Performance Consultant at VMware, responsible for the ‘readiness’ of the Global Professional Services Organization. VMware, is a computer software company that provides cloud computing and platform virtualization software and services. Prior to VMware, Henry lived in Mexico where he graduated from the Heroica Escuela Naval Militar (Naval Academy) as Valedictorian in Hydrographic Engineering. After a successful career as a decorated military officer, Henry transitioned to the private sector. In 2000, Henry moved to the United States and returned to academics where he earned a second B.S. in Computer Science/Mathematics and a M.S.C.S in Computing & Business. Since arriving in Silicon Valley, Henry has worked in high-tech companies, including Intel & NetApp; focusing on Systems Administrations, Corporate Education and People Development.

Henry is passionate about supporting the Latino community and is a member of the Latino@VMware Power of Difference Communities (PODs), focusing on Diversity & Inclusion. In Henry’s leisure time, he is a mentor in Taekwondo that trains underprivileged Latino students in competitive Martial Arts in Redwood City CA.
