Hansel Monroy

Cloud and Connectivity Research Manager @ Ford Motor Company

Hansel is currently the Cloud and Connectivity Research Manager at Ford Motor Company. He started his professional career with Ford, left to become the founder of a start-up, and returned in 2013 after being selected into the IT Leadership Program, a program that is under direct CIO oversight.

Monroy has affinity for the Latino community and engages in a few different ways: As a gubernatorial appointment to the Hispanic/Latino Commission of Michigan, as the founder of the IT division of the Ford Hispanic Network, as an active mentor and volunteer, and as a member of SHPE and ProSpanica. He has also served on a number of Boards of Directors, including the Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation and the Salvation Army – Charlotte Command.

Originally from El Salvador, Monroy’s family came to the U.S. when he was a child and he grew up in South Milwaukee, WI. He obtained a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Purdue University, where he founded the Latino Cultural Center.
