Andre Arbelaez is the President of the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) and is the SVP & Chief Strategy Officer for Softtek USA.
Andre, who is of Colombian heritage, was born in Detroit, Michigan.
Andre joined HITEC in its inception in 2007 and became HITEC’s President in 2011 and he brings a premier group of relationships of CEO’s, CIO’s, CTO’s and both VP’s of IT and Workforce Diversity and Inclusion from Fortune 1000 global companies and is a Leader in the Hispanic Technology community internationally with HITEC chapters in Mexico and Spain, and was recently named by Latino Leaders magazine as the “Technology Diversity Guru”
Arbelaez’s daily role of running business strategy for Softtek USA has helped the 10,000 person firm, headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico and its USA offices in Miami, have its best year ever by winning large deals with some well known brands across the USA.
Andre Arbelaez also serves as Oakland University’s (Rochester, Michigan) Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Information and Decision Sciences Department and also serves on the Advisory Board of a Healthcare Tech startup, Transcuro.
Arbelaez was also recently named one of the “101 Most Influential Latino Leaders” by Latino Leaders Magazine and also received the 2016 Alumni of the Year award from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan.
