Director @ Televisa Foundation
Alejandro Villanueva (Mexico City, Mexico) is the Director of Televisa Foundation, he oversees a number of programs. One of them is POSiBLE a Mexican program to inspire and support entrepreneurs creating companies to solve complex social and environmental issues. In 2016, POSiBLE had 83,000 registrations and received 11,000 applications. The program involves many of the key public, private and philanthropic players in the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in Mexico. This year it also began connecting with US allies to enhance the entrepreneurs training, incubation, funding and new business opportunities. The program is sponsored by Fundación Televisa and Nacional Monte de Piedad. Alejandro also oversees programs for Latinos living in the United States, through Televisa Foundation that helps propel Latino children and youth through innovative education and culture programs. One of its programs is TECHNOLOchicas that aims to empower and inspire Latina girls and women to seek careers in STEM. He holds a master degree in business and has participated in several executive programs from institutions including Harvard Kennedy School, the University of Chicago, Wharton School of Business and the Aspen Institute. In the US he has been member of the board of Hispanics in Philanthropy and member of the International Philanthropy Committee at the Council on Foundations.
